  • Our pastor, oliver helsabeck

    Originally from Tobaccoville, North Carolina, Oliver has served United Methodist Churches in the Western North Carolina Conference since 1997. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University (Go Apps!) with a Bachelor of Science degree in English and minors in music and history. After teaching high school English for four years, Oliver followed his calling to be a pastor and entered Duke Divinity School, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. Oliver loves singing, writing, going to the movies, and running. He strives to encourage others with a servant heart, loves to preach, and brings a creative spirit into worship. Oliver is married to Susan, Professional Development Specialist for the Randolph County Partnership for Children, and they are the proud parents of their talented daughter, Elizabeth, a ninth grader at Trinity High School.


  • Our youth and young adults DIRECTOR, KEITH BRADLEY


    Keith comes to Fairfield UMC with an extensive background in youth ministry and education. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pfeiffer University and is currently pursuing his Masters in Practical Theology/Youth Ministry/Counseling through a joint program with Pfeiffer University and Wesley Seminary. Keith is a certified candidate for ministry in the United Methodist Church and he is seeking to pursue ordination as a Deacon. He most recently served as the youth director for Centerfield youth group, a joint youth group with Summerfield and Center United Methodist Churches in the Northern Piedmont District. He has a passion for leading youth ministries and facilitating outreach and mission projects and hands-on work.  Keith and his wife Ellen are proud parents of three children: Daniel (12), Colton (4), and Olivia (2).


  • our director of music, vickie newsome

    Vickie Newsome came on board as music director at Fairfield UMC in September of 2012.  She has a BS in Music Education from Barton College, and a Masters of Music from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. She is founder of the Randolph Community Arts, a nonprofit arts and music program.

  • our administrative assistant, rae hicks

    Rae has been with Fairfield since November 2014.  She graduated from UNCG in 1995.  Rae is a lifelong member at Archdale UMC.  She has previous experience in office management, marketing, and meeting planning with the High Point CVB. Rae lives in Sophia with her husband Jeff, and her two children, Charlotte and Jack.
